I found you a few weeks ago and have been poking around a bit today because well, it's Friday and a long weekend and I don't want to do more work! (How's that for a run on sentence?)

None of my friends have babies. Thank god, I'm not ready for that yet! Haha. Though I'm pretty sure one of my very best friends will be a mother within the next 2 years because she is DYING to have babies.

On that note, I have a theory that waiting until you're in your 30's to have babies makes you age better. I have recently met three people (two of which are my new coworkers) that are almost 40 with young families (had babies in their early-mid thirties)and they all look FABULOUS and like they are 30. On the other hand, I know people who had kids when they were 22 and are now almost 40 and they look much older!

This theory is completely my own, but it's giving me justification to wait at least another 6 years to have kids :D

Oh my gosh, those are beautiful pictures of you & Lia! Many of my close friends have become mothers over the last couple of years. It's been great because now I have more faux nieces and nephews. :) It is funny to think of the things we did when we were younger - and now we are these responsible adults with children to provide for! Ahem, they are are responsible adults, I still don't have to care for someone else, which is probably good. ;)

The first of my high school friends just got married and I expect most of the others to follow suit in the next couple of years, so it probably won't be too long before babies follow. I'm struggling to picture us all hanging out together 10 years from now while our kids play out in the yard.

I am on the fence about doing another tri this summer. On one hand I really really loved the triathlon I did but I did not really enjoy training for it. Biking is not my favourite and I found it hard to train for 3 sports! But we'll see I'm going for a group ride with the local triathlon club next week so maybe that will help me get more into biking!

Good conclusion. I think health/fitness is one of those things, in the end, you have to do for yourself. Otherwise you will just end up hating it - and where's the fun in that?!
I think we should do both those races you were talking about. I could use something this summer that takes my mind of running (ha..) - I just need to find a pool. Is it insane to pay for two gym memberships... sigh.

I have become really good about putting down books I don't enjoy. I started and abandoned 2 in April because I just wasn't feeling them. That is the benefit of using the library - I don't feel guilty giving up!

April was a good month for me. I got so down in March, but was more upbeat in April. I let go of worrying about potential changes at work as I just feel like they are never going to announce the changes (although I did tell my boss yesterday that I am signing a lease on my condo so no one better tell me I have to move to Charlotte or they are in trouble!)

In May, my goal is to run 80 miles, successfully present at a conference next week in Denver, study 94 hours, and focus on the little things in life that make me happy/smile.
